CTC fine arts to hold auditions for "Short Works Drama Showcase"

The CTC Fine Arts Department will bring to the stage its second “Short Works Drama Showcase” October 23-25. Auditions will be held Wednesday, September 17 in the CTC fine arts auditorium (Bldg. 112) from

4 – 6 p.m.

“The Short Works Drama Showcase” includes different monologues, short plays, scenes and original works – all of which have been written and directed by students – presented in the round. It is an opportunity for CTC drama students to work with material they are passionate about and enable them to experiment with dramatic material that is challenging to their studies. It also represents a chance for student playwrights to experiment with original work and for others to improve their skills as student directors.

For auditions, student actors should bring a 10-minute monologue or scene they wish to perform. Student playwrights should bring original material of no more than 10 minutes. It can be a scene from a larger work. Student directors must have complete Acting II with James Salter, CTC drama instructor.
